Rosana Martins
Social Scientist at the University of São Paulo – USP from where she gained both a M.A. and a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences. She is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Media and Journalism Research Centre CIMJ, School of Social Sciences and Humanities, New University of Lisbon, and a researcher at the USP’s Center for Educational Cybernetics - Digital Language Laboratory. In addition, she is a Visiting Fellow Researcher at Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in the Humanities (CISH), University of Essex (UK). Rosana is also a member of The Transnational Lives, Gender and Mobility network with the University of Lisbon and the European Science Foundation. Books published include: Hip-Hop. O estilo que ninguém segura (2006); Admirável Mundo MTV Brasil (2006); Direitos Humanos Segurança Pública & Comunicação (2007); and Espaço Público, Direitos Humanos & Multimedia: Novos Desafios ( 2012).
