Andrew Nunes
(b. 1986). British-born to Portuguese parents that left life in Portugal in the early 1970s, Andrew holds from the University of London, a BA and MRes from Birkbeck College, and a PhD from King’s College, that specialised in Iberian and Latin American Studies, moving to at postgraduate level a masters dissertation and doctoral thesis entirely concentrated on Portuguese cultural and social issues. His research has drawn on interdisciplinary fields of cultural studies, memory studies, and postcolonial studies. With an interest in examining Portuguese authoritarian and colonial legacies in contemporary discourses, places, and spaces.
