Dulce Fernandes
Ms. Fernandes is an Angolan-born, European-raised and Brooklyn-based filmmaker. Trained in documentary fimmaking at the International Film and Television School (EICTV) in Cuba and at the Downtown Community Television Center (DCTV) in New York, Ms. Fernandes is a former photojournalist and human rights activist. Ms. Fernandes holds a B.A. in Journalism from Lisbon Technical University, a certificate in Film Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a M.A. in International Relations from the City University of New York. Letters from Angola is her first feature-length documentary.
