Filipe Martins
With a degree on Anthropology (FCSH-UNL, Lisbon, Portugal, 2004) and a post-degree on “Anthropology, Multiculturalism and Identities” (ISCTE-IUL, Lisbon, Portugal, 2006), since January 2007 Filipe has been working on a PhD research project on Youth, Citizenship and Life Courses in Urban Cape Verde. He is a researcher at the Centre for Research in Anthropology (ISCTE-IUL) and the Centre for African Studies, University of Porto. It is also a collaborator of the Bureau of Educational Research and Development, School of Education of Viana do Castelo. He has collaborated with various civil society organizations in Portugal, in national and international training and social intervention in the areas of intercultural learning, citizenship and development education. He is currently teaching at the School of Education of Viana do Castelo and the School of Education of Porto, in the areas of Social Education and Citizenship Education.
