Irène dos Santos
Researcher at CNRS (Centre National de Recherche Scientifique) at the Centre Migration and Society (URMIS) of the University Paris 7, Paris Diderot (Université Sorbonne-Paris-Cité). She took a doctoral degree in Social Anthropology at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), where she co-organizes the seminar “Mémoires et patrimonialisations des migrations”. She has done research on the contemporary legacy of colonialism in Portuguese society and on the “Lusophone” imperial imaginaries, on the basis of different types of migratory flows and circulations among Portugal, Angola and Brazil. She is a member of the editorial committee of the journal Lusotopie.
