Teodolinda Semedo
Portugal (1977), of Cape Verdean descent.
Initially trained in Scenography, she made a foray into visual arts at the Maumaus school of visual arts in Lisbon, where she developed work related to issues of body and identity. She works at the intersection of media such as performance, photography and video. She is currently developing projects for street performance using the body as a metaphor to explore concepts such as belonging, intimacy, affirmation, borders, legitimacy and repetition.
