RitaGT, artista do E-studio de Luanda, inicia um novo programa no Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo, que consiste na criação de um “Artist in residency program”. Esta residência artística tem como objetivo gerar uma nova dinâmica na escola, garantindo a integração da cultura como elemento estratégico para a cooperação bilateral, regional e internacional para o desenvolvimento, reconhecendo o seu contributo para um desenvolvimento sustentável e promover a sua proteção e estimular, difundir e preservar a cultura através de eventos e produção artística e cultural. Sendo a primeira edição deste projeto de residência, RitaGT vai organizar com o IPVC uma agenda regular de exposições, palestras, exibição de filmes e actuações. Este programa contará com apresentações de artistas locais e internacionais.

The Alex Workshop Center will host one artist in each field in the period of 1 January 2011 to 15 February 2011. The center will provide accommodation and work studio for 12 work days, although the artist will have to afford the expenses of his transportation from his residency to Alexandria and the artistic materials.

The applications are to be presented from Monday 1 November to Tuesday 30 November 2010. Applications presented after that will not be regarded.

Conditions:

1- The applications are sent only by email to the center’s emailinfo@alexworkshopcenter.org

2- The artist has to apply an updated resume

3- About 6 to 8 works that have been done in the last three years none of the images is more than 60kb in size.

4- Each artist will make an exhibition to show his works in the beginning of his coming to the center

5- Each artist will, at the end of his residency, hold a workshop in his area of experience for 4 days for the young artists.

6- The center will hold an exhibition of the woks that the artist has produced in the period of his residency and also the results of workshops in the observatory hall in the center.
